Minrl one of The Fairmined 100 Challenge Winners
The Fairmined initiative launched the Fairmined 100 challenge in September 2021, inviting brands and designers to present jewellery collections made from Fairmined gold and silver. The challenge was created by the Alliance for Responsible Mining, a globally recognised NGO driving change in the artisanal and small-scale mining communities with the aim of promoting and raising awareness of the Fairmined standard. The closing deadline was August 31st 2022 and the Fairmined 100 Challenge topped all expectations with a total of 127 collections presented by 97 brands.
The selection of the winning collections was made by an exclusive all-female panel of Judges including Annabel Davidson Journalist Vogue & Vanity Fair (Jewellery), Elle Hill Founder and CEO of Hills & Co., Celine Dassonville Founder / Director Ethiwork, Michelle Graff Editor in Chief National Jeweler, Pernille Møbjerg Co-founders of The Jewellery Room and Victoria Gomelsky Editor in Chief JCK Magazine.
The participants were divided into seven categories:

SILVER COLLECTION
The best collection made using in Fairmined silver
GOLD PLATED COLLECTION
The best collection made using certified Fairmined gold plating
DIAMONDS COLLECTION
The best collection made with Fairmined metals and diamonds
COLORED GEMSTONES COLLECTION
The best collection made with Fairmined metals and coloured gemstones
GROUNDBREAKING INNOVATION
The collection that differentiates itself from the rest by the use of a unique craft, technology or concept
SUSTAINABILITY STORY
A recognition of a collection among the top tier brands with that strongly focuses on making a positive impact
